It's so lovely to go along to a yoga class in person, but what if you don't have the time/money/childcare that you need to make it happen? How can you create your zen yoga space at home that has the same feel of an in person yoga class?
Find somewhere quiet where you won't be disturbed
Dim the lights, use fairy lights or candles
Put on some music you enjoy - this could be relaxing, energising, whatever you like. There's no specific style of music you have to practice to. You could even choose bird sounds or waves.
Use scented candles, room spray or a diffuser to create a relaxing scent. You also get aromatherapy roller ball's which you can use on your wrists/neck/temples before each practice to bring you into a relaxed state.
The space should feel relaxing to you, so if you need to, clear away any clutter or distractions to create that yoga space that feels calm and relaxing, free of worry or to do lists.
You can be guided through your practice by moving how you feel in the moment, or you can follow along to a video.
I do a free 7 day trial of my on demand service so you can see if it's a good fit for you. There are lots of different styles (yin, hatha, vinyasa) and options if you're low on time. Pick from meditations, breathing techniques and guided relaxations - there's something for every occassion!
